New metrics up for public comment

Draft definitions are the next step in translating the recently completed Delphi consensus into usable benchmarking tools. As with all GAMUT metrics, the strength of the work depends on definitions that are clinically meaningful, operationally feasible, and consistently applied across programs. These new metrics are OFFICIALLY OPEN TO PUBLIC COMMENT until August 15, 2026, when feedback will be incorporated and the metrics will be programmed into the database. We plan to launch the new metrics in September, in time for the fall annual industry meetings. Details, including numerators and denominators, are available for review. Please direct metric comments and concerns to support@gamutqi.org. We commit to reviewing all metric comments sent to that email address. Thank you for your time and input.

The goal is not to create more work with more metrics. The goal is to help transport teams see their practice more clearly, learn from variation, and continue improving the safety and quality of care delivered between facilities, scenes, aircraft, ambulances, and receiving teams.
